Using the site

SubToolbox is free to use for any lawful purpose. By using it you agree that you own the subtitle files you process, or have permission to modify them. The site processes files locally in your browser; we never receive them.

No warranty

The tools are provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. Conversion, sync and repair output should be reviewed before publishing — automated checks catch common structural problems, but no tool replaces proof-watching your captions against your video.

What the site is not for

• Distributing subtitles you do not have the rights to — this site transforms files you supply; it hosts nothing.
• Circumventing protections on video content you don't own.
• Any use that violates applicable law.

Trademarks

SubToolbox is an independent tool site. It is not affiliated with YouTube, Google, Microsoft, Adobe, Aegisub or any player or editor vendor. Format names (SRT, WebVTT, SubStation Alpha, TTML and others) are used descriptively.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SubToolbox is not liable for any damages arising from use of the site, including data loss. Keep originals of any subtitle file you value — though the tools here never modify your original file, only their output.
